How am I doing? November Edition

in ALS,How am I Doing?

There isn’t any noticeable change in my condition from last month’s update. My jet lag from the trip is still there, I sleep from noon till 6 PM daily and then am awake thru the night. I’m trying to change it, just hoping that change comes soon. Last week I completed thirty two years of existence and to mark the occasion we celebrated. The party wasn’t huge, it was just few of my cousins, parents and myself. We went to a restaurant to celebrate.

On the family side, my mother needs to get a surgery done to correct her hernia. Surgery is not yet scheduled, but most probably it will be next week. Post surgery she will have to stay in hospital for about seven days. I will keep you all posted on her condition and recovery too.

Happy Birthday! (Belated). Hope you had a blast.

Is there any improvement in your health? Sometimes I wish this is curable. I haven’t heard of such things in India before.

Good luck with Moms surgery.

I wish the same too, if not curable at least something to stop it.

Thanks everyone for birthday wishes.

hi nishanth,
discovered ur blog recently. Thanks for sharing your information. My mother was diagnosed with MND in april this year. She is using a walker currently. She retired 2 yrs back after completing nearly 25 yrs as a doctor(gyn). To tell you frankly we were all devastated by the news . So i started searching for any information that could help her condition .she has undergone panchakarma therapy in hyderabad ,india.she is also following homeopathy. I live in United States ,i came across the book “eric is winning” and sent it to india. Its a good book. Get a hold of it if possible. Any ways i am coming to india in jan 2010 for a few months to take care of her. Please suggest me, if there is anything from my side that can be done…
I have read about MicroRNA and recent studies about KIFPA3. All i need to know now is if anyone has started using these products or are they still in research phase. Please also let me know if any medications have come into use and if additional nutritions like vitamin and mineral supplements can help her condition.
Thanks in advance,
Pallavi
