Another ALS mice research news, remember what’s true for mice might not be true for humans.

A compound known as "activated protein C" (APC), already used to treat patients with severe bloodstream infections, reduced production of a toxic protein, reduced inflammation in the nervous system, and prolonged survival by 10 to 13 percent in mice with a disease resembling human amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) announced today.

Haven’t seen any, but there is something in India which can really help, it’s called ‘Jugaad’ :)

From Wikipedia:

“Jugaad” is also colloquial Hindi word that can mean an innovative fix, often pejoratively used for solutions that bend rules, or a resource that can be used as such or a person who can solve a vexatious issue. It is used as much for enterprising street mechanics as for political fixers. In essence, though it is a tribute to native genius, and lateral thinking.
